I know it's been awhile, but I was finally able to do some nail art again. Which actually has me pretty excited. I decided to finally try a leopard print mani which was easier than I expected. And, since Summer is the season of neons, I did leopard neon skittles.
Unfortunately the camera did not pick up the full effect of the neons, they are brighter IRL, but you get the idea. I used Zoya Purity for my base, CG Liquid Leather for the black, and the spots are SC Fushion Neon (pink), Neon Melon (yellow) and Summer Peach (darker orange), CG Sun Worshipper (lighter orange), and the green is a franken mixing CG Celtic Sun and SC Irish Green. To top it I used one coat of Seche Vite and did it a little on the thick side to level off the spots.
I have to say, leopard print was fun and is nail art I am pretty sure I will be doing again. If you never tried it I highly recommend it; since the spots and outlines are all meant to be different sizes/shapes and randomly placed I think it is a pretty forgiving mani to try.
Overall I like the way this came out a lot - the neons pop against the black and the white, and even the "mistakes" I thought I made look like they belong. :-) But now I need to start planning my next mani, so if you have any color/theme suggestions let me know!
